The Centre for Affordable Housing Finance in Africa (CAHF) - the AUHF Secretariat - has just launched the sixth edition Housing Finance in Africa Yearbook at the African Union for Housing Finance Conference, held on 26 – 28 October 2015. The yearbook is available for download on the CAHF website and you can also download back issues from previous years.
You will see some changes since the 2014 edition. Since last year, CAHF added five country profiles, one regional profile and updated the existing 43, bringing the total to 48 country profiles and five regional profiles. CAHF has sought out new data sources, and rethought their approach to the affordability graphs. The yearbook provides an important source of information intended for housing finance practitioners, investors, researchers and government officials with a current update of practice and developments in housing finance across Africa, reflecting the dynamic change and growth evident in the market. The yearbook aims to highlight the opportunities available for new initiatives, and help practitioners find one another as they strive to participate in the sector. Many practitioners use the Yearbook as their first point of reference when seeking to understand national housing markets in the continent.
